Today is Genocide Rememberance Day, a day to remember the nearly 1.5 million lives lost at the hands of the Ottoman Empire in Turkey from 1915-1923. With all members being of Armenian decent, System of a Down have worked to raise awareness of the Genocide and have it officially recognized by the U.S. government. They have played several benefit shows, including two on this very date, over the last ten years. For more info on the Armenian Genocide, watch, "Battle Over History", a piece from a recent episode of 60 Minutes.
